Lasers4EU launches multi-instrument access route

13 Nov 2025

The EU co-funded project Lasers4EU provides access to state-of-the-art laser technologies and services from primary and secondary laser sources to a wide range of laser-based instruments and techniques at 29 leading laser research institutions across Europe.

Two access routes are available in Lasers4EU:

Curiosity-driven single-instrument

For users interested in transnational access and looking for a suitable laboratory for their access project, from fundamental science to validating a practical application.

Curiosity-driven multi-instrument

For users who need access to as many installations as required in different facilities, over several years if necessary. Requires only a single proposal for the whole duration.

Why should users apply for the multi-instrument route?

Make the most of the techniques and instruments offered by the Lasers4EU consortium to boost your research. Users can enhance the scientific outcomes of their project and reduce administrative effort by applying for access to complementary techniques that are not all available at a single lab, or by conducting parametric studies requiring repeated experiments within a single project.

Lasers4EU offers unique research opportunities to scientists from academia and industry from all over the world.

Users benefit from free transnational access (including travel and accommodation) to these laser research laboratories.
