Access to Europe's leading laser research infrastructures

Lasers4EU gives industry and medical centre users transnational access to Europe’s cutting-edge laser facilities. Through the industry route, we offer:

  • Access to infrastructure and expertise: A broad network of state-of-the-art laser labs at leading European research institutes, with resident scientific expertise available for collaboration.
  • Comprehensive R&D support: Tailored assistance for your research and development projects across diverse fields, including semiconductors, photonics, electronics, biomedicine, automotive and aeronautics, and precision manufacturing.
  • Two access models: Peer-reviewed proposals evaluated on scientific merit, or a simplified industry-tailored access model designed for industry timelines and confidentiality requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Industry users are eligible if the leader of their user group,  and the majority of its members, including any academic collaborators, are based in a country different from that of the host facility. This transnational requirement applies to all access routes.

Project Guidance & Support

Lasers4EU can act as a facilitator for companies that are unfamiliar with the access process or unsure which facility best matches their technical requirements. This includes guidance on identifying suitable labs, navigating access procedures, and connecting companies with academic partners who can provide complementary expertise.

Find a lab

To find a suitable laboratory for your industry project, visit our industry services page.

The search tool lists all Lasers4EU infrastructures open to industry users, filterable by sector, your core activity and services you are looking for. Contact the relevant laboratory director directly to discuss access conditions.
