2026 Call

Internal call for proposals for training events

Lasers4EU invites all members of the Lasers4EU consortium (access providing partners or partners affiliated to Laserlab-Europe AISBL and ELI ERIC) to submit proposals for user training schools and training events.

The training events will be organised by Lasers4EU under the work package 5 “User Training”. They may be held either on-site, as in-person event, or online, as webinar or via any digital platform.

Lasers4EU training schools are expected to focus on specific topics and, wherever possible, should include demonstrations of theoretical principles as well as hands-on training in experimental techniques and/or simulation tools. Co-organisation with contributing industrial partners is strongly encouraged. Co-funding of events that are already planned (excluding conferences) is possible, provided they have a clearly defined training component.

Objectives

  • To train the next generation of skilled scientists in advanced laser technologies and laser science.
  • To enable non-specialist users coming from a variety of scientific backgrounds to overcome the technical and scientific barriers that may arise due to the complexity of the laser technologies offered by Lasers4EU.
  • To attract new users from different fields.
  • To increase efficiency and support cooperation with other European facilities, networks, projects and with industry.

Guidelines for proposals

  • The training school should be held during the year 2026.
  • Deadline for proposals: 23 December 2025
