Second-hand laser equipment

The Lasers4EU consortium partners continue to invest in new equipment, sometimes replacing instruments or setups that could still be useful elsewhere. Lasers4EU intends to help facilitate giving these instruments a second life.

General approach

Below is a list of decommissioned equipment, including lasers and associated instruments and setups. A brief description of each instrument is provided, along with photos/diagrams and information on its current state. Contact details of the current ‘owner’ are also provided.

Interested parties can contact the current owner for further details. If there are several interested parties, the current owner has the right to decide who the instrument will be given to.

The current owner must ensure that the instrument is removed from inventory and that there are no bureaucratic or safety issues. If necessary, the instrument can be sold for a symbolic sum.

The new owner should organise and pay for transportation to keep the burden on the current owner to a minimum.
